I'm 4channer. And this was writen to 4chan's video games thread. I found it very good... at putting some flames to xbox owners asses. I'm my self Playstation 3 owner and I did my decision by first playing both of the platforms. I came to inclusion that Wii is the best for gaming, Playstation 3 for multimedia, and Xbox360 is middle runner without reliablity. My friend broke his xbox already and we went with my car to fix that box but in the end my friend sold his xbox and games and is now just windows platform gamer. Ironic? Yes maybe.
But back into that 4chan comment. I found this really thoughtful. It was writen by anonymous but I'd sign this text right away.
"why are first party/exclusive PS3 games, excluding gears of war, technically superior to those on xbox, despite 360 having a year head start?
why does 360 have a huge external PSU, sound like a jet taking off, yet still have overheating related hardware failures?
do you enjoy the battery pack on the back of the wireless 360 controller? Do you like having to pay extra to be able to recharge it through the console, rather than just using a standard usb cable?
do you enjoy having your discs scratched?
do you like having the option of a non-functioning d-pad?
do you like the fact that a 20gb hdd on a 360 is actually 13gb? do you like that developers aren't allowed to incorporate hard drive use due to it not being standard?
have you been satisfied with xbox live over the past month?
do you like having to pay extra to connect wirelessly?
are you looking forward to the 2008 360 lineup?
do you like being able to play HD games, but not movies?
do you enjoy the lack of external peripheral support?
thank god the 360 is made by microsoft and not sony! god knows how we would have been screwed over otherwise

why is america the only country that is sucking microsoft's dick, saleswise?
why does the ps3 have better sales in it's first year than 360 did?"
Well, maybe it's not the most poetic and fails to note that some of the listed problems have been fixed already...
I could add that xbox can playback HD material but only with 250 euros external HD-DVD drive. And since HD-DVD is seriously losing now (in here I've only seen 2 movies of HD-DVD on stores but more than 20 titles of Blue-Ray.)
Xbox costs 200-400 euros. when we do the math, to get the xbox360 with same features as Playstation 3 price is a lot higher than 500 euros.

Congrats! Loved your post. Ps3 is actually the best...and I sure hope those xbox fanboys get to see this. Why are we winning over a console war, when this is what makes us sure that games will always get better and better? Competetion makes the guys in the games company work hard to outsell the competitors...so we, the players, are actually the winners of the console wars anyways :)

xbox is a dinosaur. it'll be extinct by 2010 since it has such a high failure rate and games on dvd9 will be dropped for games on blu-ray, the soon-to-be the de facto standard HD format.
the only thing keeping xbox sales up is halo, but how many times can MS milk that game before people realize it's such a boring storyline...but then again it's their only thread of hope on an otherwise dying console
